QuickBooks Online Is Here: Your Takings, Posted for You Every Night
epos247 now posts your takings to QuickBooks Online every night: one paid invoice per trading day, split by VAT rate, matching your till to the penny.
Every pub, café and restaurant gives away free Wi-Fi, and almost none of them get anything back for it. wifi247 changes that: a branded sign-in page for your guest Wi-Fi that turns every guest who logs on into a customer you can welcome back, built right into epos247.

The epos247 Team
Building the next-generation POS
Think about how many people connect to your Wi-Fi every week. The regulars on their lunch break, the family waiting for food, the friends meeting before a match, the person working from your corner table all afternoon. Hundreds of guests, every one of them happy to be in your venue.
And what do you get back for it? Usually nothing. The password is on a chalkboard or the back of the menu, guests connect, and the moment they leave you have no idea who they were or how to invite them back.
That's the problem wifi247 solves.
wifi247 is a branded sign-in page for your guest Wi-Fi, built into epos247. Instead of a shared password, guests connect to your open Wi-Fi network and a page with your name, your logo and your colours pops up on their phone. They pop in their name and email, tick the box if they'd like to hear about your offers, and they're online in seconds.
Behind the scenes, something much more useful happens: that guest is added to your customer list in epos247.
Wi-Fi marketing tools aren't new. But most of them are separate products: another login, another monthly bill, another list of customers that never talks to your till.
wifi247 is part of epos247. The guest who signs into your Wi-Fi is the same customer who books a table, collects stamps on their Loyalty247 card and buys a round at your bar. One customer list, one place to look after it.
And this is just the start. Because the Wi-Fi and the till already share the same customer list, we're working on showing you which Wi-Fi guests come back, and what they spend when they do.
wifi247 works with TP-Link Omada Wi-Fi access points, a popular, reliable and affordable choice for hospitality venues. If you already have Omada kit, you may be able to use what you've got. If you don't, we can help you choose the right access points for your venue. Support for more Wi-Fi brands will follow.
Want to see what your guests would see? We've set up a demo for an imaginary pub called The Red Lion. Open the wifi247 demo on your phone and press Connect. Nothing is sent anywhere; it's just there for you to try.
wifi247 is launching first with a small group of venues, so we can set each one up properly and listen closely to how it's working. If you'd like your guest Wi-Fi to start bringing customers back, we'd love to hear from you.

Our last post went up at the end of June, and then the blog went silent. Sorry about that. The rest of epos247 didn't: since then we've shipped epos247 2.0, launched multi-site estates, added new apps, and released well over 250 updates. This is the catch-up.

Every kitchen has a breaking point — the Saturday slam, the coach party nobody warned you about, the fryer that picks the worst possible moment to give up. Until now your online ordering channel had no idea any of it was happening; orders kept landing at the same rate whether the pass was calm or buried. From v1.6.23, the new Busy Kitchen control hands that back to the people watching the tickets. One tap on the KVS sets your service status — Normal, Delayed or Paused — warning customers of a wait or pausing new online orders entirely. And when the rush breaks, it quietly switches itself back.
