One Tap. Mains Away.

Picture this: table six has finished their starters. The plates are cleared. Your server is back at the POS ready to fire the mains. In a traditional setup, this involves shouting across the restaurant, catching the head chef's eye, or (worst case) just hoping the kitchen remembers the timing. We think there's a better way.

Mains Away is a single button on the table actions menu that sends an instant notification to your kitchen. Tap it, and a "Mains Away" ticket prints on the relevant kitchen printer with the table number and time. If you're running a Kitchen Video System, it appears there too as a highlighted alert. No shouting. No miscommunication. No mains arriving while guests are still picking at their bruschetta.

The feature is deliberately simple because it needs to be. During a busy service, your staff don't have time to navigate through sub-menus or type messages. One tap on the table card, one tap on "Mains Away", done. The kitchen knows. The timing is logged. Everyone's on the same page.

What makes it really powerful is the multi-device sync. If your floor manager fires mains away from the main terminal, the waiter app on the handheld device shows it instantly. The table card updates across all screens. There's a complete audit trail in the till journal showing who fired it and when. This is especially useful for larger venues where the person clearing starters might not be the same person who originally took the order.

We've been testing this feature with a handful of restaurants over the past few weeks, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
